Pig price range unchanged at €1.42 to 1.48

THE average pig price in Ireland last week went to 104% of the EU-25 average.

Pig price range  unchanged  at €1.42 to 1.48

This week, according to IFA, pork slaughterers here cut prices by 2c/kg, and the Northern Ireland spot price fell by 4c/kg. But the price range was unchanged, at 1.42 to 1.48 cents per kg.

IFA expected Irish export plants to pay 144 to 148c this week, plus the welfare bonus of 2 to 6c. Pork slaughterers were expected to pay 142 to 148c.
