Stored beef is damper on the market

THE supply of finished cattle available to beef processors has continued to tighten, and farmers are seeing some recovery in prices for cattle.

However, high stocks of beef in processors’ stores continue to temper the full market effect of falling supply.

Nor is the reduced demand for beef helping farmers with finished cattle to sell.
