IT has been another week of improved trading for sheep farmers, as prices continue to recover slowly.

Increasing UK lamb supply threatens price recovery

Quoted prices at factories have improved by another 3 cent/kg (1p/lb) to a base range of 350 to 347 cents/kg (125p or124p/lb), as the trend continues positive for producers.

But the downward market trend in the UK and France of the past week threatens to spoil the party, if it continues. The UK market eased back last week, with stronger supplies available, and in France, prices also weakened.
