Irish pig price stays 12% ahead of EU

PIG prices fell by 4c/kg in this week, with the exception of supplies to Galtee and Glanbia, for which prices remained unchanged.

Supplies have increased to all southern plants.

The current price range is from 1.22/kg to 1.28/kg. The Northern Ireland average price is at 1.32 to 1.36. Northern Ireland factories have offered contract prices 1.34 until the end of January and 1.36 until the end of February.
