Price seesaw on the up

TIGHTER supplies and improved demand have delivered a price increase to lamb producers, reversing the downward price trend of past weeks.

Price seesaw on the up

Lower prices in recent weeks resulted in a sharp fall off in supplies to processors. Prices improved through last week and into the early days of this week.

Quoted prices for Tuesday’s kill ranged from 364 to 372 cents/kg (130p to 133p/lb) showing an increase of 12 to 20 cent/kg (4p to 7p/lb) from a week earlier.
