THE export trade for lambs has continued stable after a slight adjustment during the second half of last week, when prices slipped.

On Monday, factories quoted base prices from 336 back to 330 cents/kg (120p to 118p/lb), mostly at the upper end, largely unchanged from the state of play since prices dropped 6 cents/kg (2p/lb) in the middle of week.

This week, on Tuesday, all factories were back to a base price of 330 cents/kg (118p/lb), and the trade seemed to be stabilising again, as demand in the run-up to Christmas remains strong.
