This is the main reason given for the reform of EU agricultural policy. The other reasons tend to get less attention because they involve far-off countries and are voiced mainly by organisations that are perceived not to understand economics.

These organisations, such as the World Wildlife Fund and Oxfam, accuse national governments of working together under the aegis of the EU to dump goods on foreign markets.
