ICMSA gets bull price clarified

BULLS will be classified according to their visual appearance in beef factory lairages or in carcase form, the Department of Agriculture and Food has informed ICMSA.

Whether a bull premium has been paid will be completely immaterial, the Department says.

“Farmers have been concerned that if they were to apply for the bull premium, they would be paid bull price at slaughter,” said the ICMSA’s beef and cattle committee chairman, Mr John O’Leary.
