NEW EU plans to stem a flood of cheap Black Sea grain imports have got a doubtful reaction from the grain markets.

Russia and Ukraine have vowed to fight the new EU wheat import quotas.

But France, which lost a huge chunk of its market share because of the cheap imported grain, welcomed the EU proposal.
