Short-lived price recovery

Processors have reduced their quotes by 3 to 6 cent/kg (1p or 2p/lb) for this week, eroding some of the gains made over the past fortnight. Processors lay the blame for this on weaker returns from their markets in Britain and the continent.

Most of the factories quoted a base price of 319 cents/kg (114p/lb) this week, with some offering 322 cents/kg (115p/lb).
