Text of rules governing EU farm payment gets approval in Brussels
Agriculture and Food Minister Joe Walsh said the main concerns raised by Ireland during detailed negotiations with the European Commission have been addressed in the text.
He said the priority for his Department now is to establish provisional payment entitlements for every individual farmer in the country. In this context much work has already been done and the work can now proceed at pace given the agreement on the Commission detailed rules.
