BSE policy ‘under ongoing review’

Agriculture and Food Minister Joe Walsh said he is acutely conscious of the cost of Ireland’s current BSE whole herd depopulation policy.

He told the Dáil he was keeping the policy under ongoing review.

Mr Walsh said BSE whole herd depopulation in the first nine months of this year cost €22.49 million.
