To much opinion, not enough information at at SP meetings

HUGE attendances at the Department of Agriculture and Teagasc’s information meetings on the Single Payment (which conclude tonight in Letterkenny, Co Donegal) confirmed that very many farmers are still searching for answers on the operation of the new scheme.

While the meeting format was similar, the quality of the meetings varied widely from location to location, for dissemination of details, and responses to specific queries raised by farmers.

Some meetings were very lively, and very informative. Others were could be rated at nothing better than time wasting.
