FARMERS will have an advisory role on the clawback of single payments to create a National Reserve.

Two representatives of each of the farming social partners (IFA, ICMSA, ICOS and Macra na Feirme) and Teagasc, are likely to form an advisory committee set up by Agriculture and Food Minister Joe Walsh for the implementation of the new single payment scheme in 2005.

They would be chaired by a senior official of his Department.
