Lower supply underpins lamb prices

All factories quoted a base of 342 cents/kg (122p/lb), a price which has been paid since Wednesday of last week, but which is 6 cents/kg (2p/lb) better than the Monday price last week.

In the marts, supply is not as strong as last week, and a very strong trade continues for butchers’ lambs, while there has been a slight increase for factory lots.
