The first in a series of IFA regional meetings to oppose milk price cuts and demand that co-ops tackle processing inefficiencies and reduce their own costs will be held in Mallow on Thursday.

Dairy Committee Chairman Michael Murphy said farmers are angered and hugely frustrated by Dairygold’s decision to cut milk prices.

“There is a massive resolve that producers must show their determination to prevent any further price cut by Dairygold, or any other processor,” he said.
