Make safety a priority or face prosecution

The unannounced inspections were carried out by officials of the Health and Safety Authority during Safety Week, on randomly selected farms.

So serious were the deficiencies on nearly half the farms inspected that the owners were immediately issued with prohibition, or improvement notices which are legally binding notices required matters of safety to be attended to within a specified period, to avoid prosecution.
