Firm trade continues for quality cattle

Marts: Plain lots of bullocks met with an easier trade yesterday, but the trade continued firm for the quality cattle and in particular the forward animals.

There was a noticeable easing in prices at the lower end of the range for the single punched bullocks at Bandon and Kilkenny, where the quality animals continued to sell well.

In general, prices were back €10-€30/head for the plain bullocks.
