Fewer hoggets to meet increased Easter demand

HOGGET supplies are weakening this week, which should boost the price for spring lamb at Easter.

Prices for both categories are stronger at the factories, but the spring lamb price still trails last year’s trend.

Export plants are quoting 481 cents/kg, with a bonus of 7 cents/kg for Us, but they are paying up to 500 cent for spring lamb.
