THE deal between the EU and the US on the elimination of certain export subsidies could pose a major threat to Irish farm incomes, it was claimed yesterday.

Irish Creamery Milk Suppliers Association president Pat O’Rourke said Ireland and France held out and got the EU to agree to continue export refunds.

However, the EU has now agreed with the US to eliminate export subsidies on certain products.
