AT the halfway mark, Kerry Group, recently rumoured to be buying Greencore, reported earnings were up by 10.7%, deemed to be a good result for the period under the circumstances.

At the time, managing director Hugh Friel said the year’s outturn would be in line with market forecasts.

Those closest to the group say the 10.7% boost in earnings at the end of the first six months is indicative of the likely full-year’s outturn.
