THE countdown to the Common Agricultural Policy reform continues, with force majeure claims ending last week (but those who claimed will have an appeals opportunity later).
Any plans for the summer?

It is hoped to have clarification by April on how single farm payments will be affected by loss of land since the reference years, land purchases since then and leasing out of land through the Retirement Scheme.

Around the middle of the year, there will be a decision on whether to take 1%, 2% or 3% off the single farm payment, for the National Reserve.
