Value of EU Single Payments will vary

Castlebar: The value of EU Single Payment entitlements allocated from the National Reserve will vary depending on the category under which the allocation is made by the Department of Agriculture.

Application forms to apply for allocations from the National Reserve, together with a comprehensive guide to the National Reserve should be available in local offices of the Department of Agriculture from to-day with a closing date of Friday January 14, 2005 for the lodging of completed applications at the National Reserve Section, Department of Agriculture, Castlebar.

A deduction of 3% has been made from farmers’ entitlements to establish the national reserve. The deduction will yield €39m.
