THERE has been a slight increase in the movement of finished cattle, but not sufficient to have any effect on the prices at the factories for this week.

Factory quotes have remained stable and so has the margin over the quoted prices, which processors are finding necessary to pay so as to get sufficient supply.

The factories are finding it difficult to buy R grade animals for much under 291 cents/kg (104p/lb) and prices ranging between 291-294 cents/kg (104p-105p/lb) are common.
