Home lamb trade still buoyant

Although some processors dropped 3 cents/kg (1p/lb) for Tuesday, prices were up to 6 cents/kg (2p/lb) higher than a week earlier at some centres, ranging from 342 down to 331 cents/kg (122p to 118p/lb).

While lamb supplies are light for this time of the year, export markets remain quiet, and under price pressure from competing supplies, which means that processors here are reluctant to pay more for lambs.
