IFA warning on dairy export refunds

THE IFA has warned dairy co-ops not to over-react to last week's reduction in export refunds, driven by the new EU tendering system.

Dairy Committee chairman Michael Murphy said world dairy markets remained buoyant with low supplies, good demand and increasing prices.

“There is, at this stage, no reason to expect EU dairy price pressure in advance of July 1,” he said.
