New lamb stays at 476 cents/kg

THERE has been very little movement in prices at either end of the trade this week, and hogget and spring lamb prices at the factories vary very little from last week.
New lamb stays at 476 cents/kg

The first of the new season spring lambs continue to arrive, but not in sufficient numbers to have any impact on the demand for hoggets.

Factory prices on offer for hoggets and spring lamb are almost unchanged. Hogget prices are improved by 4 cents/kg at some of the factories, bringing all to a uniform base of 370 cents/kg (132p/lb) in the opening prices this week, which were unchanged Tuesday.
