DAIRYGOLD’S new chief executive, Jerry Henchy, yesterday described the co-op as a sleeping giant with a strong business and a great potential.

He was outlining his vision for a new and stronger Dairygold and giving an insight into his strategy to restore it to long-term profitability.

Addressing more than 1,400 shareholders at the co-op’s annual general meeting at Cork Racecourse, Mallow, he said Dairygold has an excellent supply base.
