GRAIN stores are full to capacity after record winter wheat yields and a consistently high spring barley yield, according to Teagasc.

But the harvest is not yet completed, with up to 20% of barley and oats still to harvest in the north west.

Grain is slow to move out of stores, as the total volume produced in Ireland and Europe is well above last year’s harvest, according to Teagasc.
