THERE has been better stability to the lamb trade this week, with factory prices unchanged from last week’s levels, and supplies slightly reduced.

The factories are quoting base prices ranging from 344 to 336 cents/kg (123p to 120p/lb).

In the marts, the trade has also been steady this week, with some of the good quality butchers’ lambs making up to €31 over €1/kg, and the best of the factory lambs making up to €29 over.
