FARMERS have serious concerns about access to their property, IFA president John Dillon told a Dáil committee yesterday.

Mr Dillon told the All Party Committee on the Constitution that farmland is a working environment and contains livestock, crops and machinery activity, which can present dangers to people coming on to it.

While the Occupiers Liability Act 1995 gave a reasonably high level of protection against claims, the outcome of recent court cases threatened this, Mr Dillon said.
