Dairygold to vote on membership changes

DAIRYGOLD Co-op has 10,786 shareholders on its register, but no more than 7,659 can attend their Special General Meeting, later this month, to vote on a new rule book for the society.

Unfortunately, 3,127 of the listed shareholders have gone to their eternal reward, and it is for those left behind to tidy up the Co-op’s register.

But there is more to the “active versus inactive” members issue in the proposed new rule book than “dead or alive”.
