The base price of 420 cent/kg (150p/lb) which was on offer at Kildare Chilling on Monday eased back to 414 cent/kg (148p/lb) yesterday in line with the price on offer from some of the processors at the end of last week.

This is an improvement from the 406 cent/kg (145p/lb) which was quoted before last weeks’ talks between the processors represented by Meat Industry Ireland and the producers who were represented by the IFA.
