LAST week's Budget marked the end of several multi-million euro tax reliefs, but a number of tax benefits were proposed for farmers.
Budget gave some reliefs to farm sectors

Along with the rural community's share of tax cuts, social welfare increases and childcare measures which will boost Irish incomes by €2.5 billion over the next year, specific measures worth more than €24 million are designed to help farmers consolidate holdings, become more competitive, and comply with the Nitrates Directive.

Effective date for these measures will be announced in the Finance Bill.
