Horticulture producers get €4.38m

Dublin: A grant aid package of €4.38m for 118 horticulture producers under the National Development Plan was announced by Food Minister Noel Treacy yesterday.

The package relates to investments of €13m and covers mushrooms, protected crops, nursery crops, field vegetables, soft fruit, apples and bee-keeping.

It brings the total grant aid paid to horticulture producers under the 2000-2006 National Development Plan to over €9m, covering capital investments in buildings and equipment of some €27m.
