Dairygold ‘treats union with contempt’

SIPTU has told Dairygold Co-op that it must stop treating the union and its members with contempt.

But a spokesman for the co-op rejected any suggestion of improper practice with regard to its human relations and personnel management policies. He said the company will continue to have dialogue with employees to ensure the survival of the business and to introduce best-practice into every area.

“The company is applying best-practice in all aspects of its relationship with its employees at every level of the organisation,” he said.
