AN OVERWHELMING eight out of ten Irish dairy farmers want milk quotas to continue.

The IFA’s nationwide survey has found very little support for the abolition of the milk quota regime among Irish dairy farmers.

But there are wide differences in emphasis on how the quota regime should be handled, depending on the farm size and milk output of each farmer.
