Agricultural income rises 3.5%

Ireland: Central Statistics Office figures released yesterday show a 3.5% increase in agricultural income for 2004.

The IFA president John Dillon said the figures for last year reveal a slight improvement in farming.

However, the agriculture sector was facing some tough challenges for the remainder of this year.
