Lamb price on the slide

FACTORY lamb prices eased this week, sliding by 3 to 6 cent/kg (1 or 2p/lb).

Some factories say immediate increases are not on the horizon, but a weakening supply could change that quickly.

Base-line prices ranged from 344 to 350 cent/kg (123 to 125p/lb) for Tuesday’s kill, showing very little change from Monday, and looking set to hold at least for the week.
