FARMERS furious over their falling incomes yesterday told the Government it was time to come clean on how it was going to help them survive the crisis.

IFA president John Dillon, who addressed the farm family survival rally in front of Government Buildings in Dublin, said negotiations on the national pay deal would only go ahead if there was a real commitment of resources by the Government, including a reversal of recent cutbacks in the estimates and budget.

"Now, I am saying to the Government. It's time for action. It's time to put your cards on the table," he said.
