Irish pig price at €1.24 per kg

IFA report no change in pig prices this week, still ranging from €1.27 to €1.31 in most plants, with a continuing 6c/kg bonus for welfare pigs.

Early this week, IFA said demand for pigs was steady, and further price increases were possible later in the week.

With improving demand for pork, slaughterers quote unchanged prices, from €1.31 to €1.33 cent/kg.
