Factory gate prices fall by 0.8%

FACTORY gate prices fell 0.8% in March to give an annual fall of 2.3%, the Central Statistics Office said yesterday.

In February, prices rose 0.1% month-on-month but were down 0.4% year-on-year.

The most significant monthly changes in March were basic chemicals, down 1.1%, office machinery and computers, down by 0.9%, and other food products, down 1.8%.
