Crowds flock to sunny Costa del Cappa show

A RURAL parish is in danger of being re-named the Costa del Cappa because of its enviable reputation of always having fine weather for its annual show.

Cappmore, Co Limerick, maintained the tradition yesterday when it was again drenched, not with the kind of heavy rain that has fallen all over the country since May, but with glorious sunshine that attracted a large crowd.

It was in marked contrast to the country's other shows, some of which have had to be cancelled, postponed and re-arranged because the wet weather made ground conditions unsuitable.
