THE Department of Agriculture has taken measures to limit the impact of the CPSU dispute in five counties on an estimated 1,100 farmers.

In the Dail, Food Minister Noel Treacy urged staff in the dispute to return to work and follow appropriate procedures to resolve their grievances.

The Civil and Public Service Union says it has set up a committee to review individual farm applications, to temporarily ease tuberculosis and brucellosis herd restrictions.
