Coughlan to publish agrisector plan

A PLAN of action for the agrisector is to be published early this year, Agriculture Minister Mary Coughlan announced yesterday in her department’s annual review and outlook.

She said agriculture and the food industry face an array of challenges arising from WTO negotiations, changes in EU policy, changing consumer demands and increased competition.

The action plan will set out what will be done to address these issues.
