Farmers take change in stride

THE finding in a new survey that rural communities are very welcoming to newcomers may not seem significant at first glance.

Good neighbourliness has always been the countryside rule, without public services conveniently on hand to call on in times of need, so residents have to rely on each other for help.

Now, a survey carried out for Agri Aware finds that more people are choosing to move and live in the countryside.
