Live exports continue to show strong recovery

Live exports are showing a steady increase for the year as trade to continental EU countries continues to recover particularly for young animals.

Calf exports for the first eight months have been highest since pre foot-and- mouth restrictions in 2001.

Movement of weanlings and young stores through live shipments has also picked up.
