Wallace is committed to forestry

FORESTRY is critical to the long-term stability of rural Ireland, the new Minister of State at the Department of Agriculture and Food, Mary Wallace, said yesterday.
Wallace is committed to forestry

She said she was determined to see forestry develop to its full potential. Ms Wallace said the Government’s commitment to the forestry sector, which employs more than 16,000 people directly and indirectly, was reflected in a record allocation of €137 million of public funds to it this year.
