It’s all about Water Protection

WHETHER you call it Good Agricultural Practice for Protection of Waters Regulations 2005, or call it the Nitrates Action Programme Under the Nitrates Directive, the new regulations written into law by Environment Minister Dick Roche on December 12 will have major consequences for farmers, as they come into effect on a phased basis from February 1, 2006, to December 31, 2008.
