Major milk rejection threatened

AT LEAST one in three dairy farmers faces rejection of milk supplies by processors within a fortnight, because they have not supplied dairy herd health certification.

Farming leaders have advised milk producers to get the certification completed by their vet in the course of completing the annual TB-Brucellosis round test on the herd.

Dairy Herd Certificates for each herd must be lodged with processors by December 31, if milk supplies from the herds are to be accepted by processors on January 1, 2005.
